Kuala Lumpur, 28 February 2017 – SilverTech Global Sdn Bhd (SilverTech Global) and Alternative Technology Commercial Limited (AlterTechs) signed a collaboration agreement today at the Malaysia-Saudi Business Forum organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). The forum was held in conjunction with the State Visit of HRH King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Hajj, Saudi Arabia has called for a closed tender to provide a Hajj and Umrah Smart Pilgrim Technology Management Systems (SPTMS) to trace the whereabouts of pilgrims while the pilgrims are in Saudi Arabia. AlterTechs, an IT company specializing in Smart City solutions for future smart cities of the Middle East, is one of the shortlisted companies selected to participate in the bid. The purpose of the project is to leverage on technology to revolutionize the entire pilgrimage process and experience. In particular, it is envisioned that the project would greatly enhance the safety and overall experience of the pilgrims during their stay in the holy city. In their search for a reputable and qualified business partner for the SPTMS project, AlterTechs has chosen to work together with SilverTech Global based on their track record and experience.
